~~ Therapy Services ~~

Specialty Services Offered:

  • Attachment

Adults: The focus of attachment therapy is on family of origin issues, self-awareness, and coping skills to address current adult attachment issues that may be resulting in problems within relationships with significant others and/or children.

Children: The focus with children is to increase healthy attachment and bonding with their parents.  Attachment issues with children can result from trauma, removal from the home, international/domestic adoptions, foster care and/or families with dysfunctional patterns (i.e. addiction, domestic violence, etc.)

  • Addiction

The focus of addiction treatment is on how to address and cope with the disease within the addict and their family system.  I offer extensive education and resources on addiction, family patterns, family roles and healthy replacement behaviors to help adjust family systems.

  • Trauma

The impact of traumatic experiences can be extremely pervasive in an individual's life.  Trauma that is not addressed can lead to repeat trauma and dysfunctional family patterns and relationships.  I focus on the client's perception of the trauma and how to incorporate new cognitive approaches for the client to begin to shift into new thought processes and experiences.  I address past trauma from a relational approach and incorporate education and resources to develop new coping skills.
